    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best pickleball paddle for beginners at your pickleball store?
For most beginners we recommend the Get2Eleven Classic Starter Paddle or the Value Paddle Set. Both offer forgiving sweet spots, midweight feel, and durability and giving new players consistent contact and value while learning fundamentals. They’re available for purchase or demo at our pickleball paddle store in Encinitas.

How do I choose the best pickleball paddle (weight, grip, shape, material)?
Balance weight, grip size, shape, material, and balance: lighter paddles (6.8–7.3 oz) favor quick hands, midweights (7.4–8.2 oz) mix control and power. Match grip circumference to your hand, pick wider faces for forgiveness or elongated shapes for reach, and choose carbon for crisp feel or composite for dwell and spin.

Do you offer in‑store pickup and demos at your Encinitas pickleball store?
Yes. We offer scheduled demos and in‑store pickup at our Encinitas location. Book a short fitting session to test the Pro Carbon Lite, Balanced Composite, or Classic Starter Paddle; our staff will help match grip size, weight preference, and apply free grip tape if you buy in person.

Are carbon paddles better than composite paddles for reducing arm fatigue?
Carbon paddles are typically lighter and provide a crisp response, which can reduce arm fatigue and improve reaction time. Composite paddles often offer more ball dwell and power. Choose carbon for quicker hands and less strain, or composite if you prioritize control, spin, or power.

What accessories should I buy with a new paddle to protect it and improve play?
Start with a quality replacement grip or grip tape for comfort, a padded paddle case for transport, and training or tournament‑grade balls. Edge guards and replacement handles protect durability. Pairing a cushioned grip with a lightweight case is ideal for reducing wear and keeping your paddle match‑ready.
